What Are Giclées and Why They Matter
Giclées are fine art reproductions made with high-resolution inkjet printing that captures every nuance of the original—color, texture, and detail. The term, from the French gicler (“to spray”), refers to the precision spray of pigment that allows for exceptional fidelity. Giclées offer a way to experience the essence of an artwork without compromising quality. They honor the artist’s vision while making it accessible, bridging tradition and technology to preserve beauty for generations to come.
Each giclée is personally produced by Quim Hereu in his studio, where he meticulously calibrates the colors to match the original artwork with a level of precision unattainable by standard print shops. Printed on museum-grade cotton paper, each piece is further enhanced with original hand-drawn elements by the artist, making every giclée unique and unrepeatable. All giclées are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
