In the midst of this sacred river, the estrambòtic Venus—the goddess of eternal youth—takes part in an Indian ritual performed by a local priestess.

A ritual unknown to us, mere mortals ignorant of all things. Hybrid and mysterious creatures, aquatic elephants, fish with human behavior, and the branch-man—symbol of doubt and indecision—gather at the ceremony to witness it up close and later pass it on to future generations.
